Accidental Art.
While walking through campus after class, I tried to think about what could be art.  I came across this piece of duct tape. If you just look at it, it doesn't look like much.  But as I got closer to the tape, I realized the shape of the concrete, and the texture of it.  I don't think this was intended when the concrete was layed down, and I definitely don't think the tape was put there on purpose.  The way it folded, the way it forms to the concrete: people walk by it and on it everyday.  But appreciating little things allowed me to see the art that this actually was, however accidental it may have been.

  1. Very cool. It is fun to see once we put a creative perspective on things, what we find all around us.

  2. The lines in the concrete make it look like sand or something else. Very interesting, awesome observation!

  3. Nice zoom in. The texture is nice. Looks better than a lot of paintings.

  4. I think the juxtaposing textures may be the best part of this photo, it really is accidental art.

  5. This really is fascinating. The textures make even more pictures within the bigger picture!
