I chose the French. They hate Americans, the women don’t
shave, and they love baguettes, wine, and cheese.
First of all most of the French don’t hate Americans. Most Americans
who go to France go only to Paris similar to NYC representing America. Secondly,
in every town and city throughout the entire country there is a WWI and WWII
memorial to honor the Americans and they sacrifices they made. Sure during the
Bush administration many French weren’t happy with Americans but there were
also French conservative political parties that supported Bush.
The funniest one to
me is the French Women not shaving, it couldn’t be farther from the truth. The
women there usually pride themselves in being clean and especially smelling
clean.
They do however love cheese, baguettes, and wine. That may
not be a bad single story though. Per capita they eat more cheese than any
other country. Bread has been a staple in most homes around the world so; you
might as well have fresh bread. The idea of wine doesn’t bother me either in
the sense that it is sourced from their country and the vineyards make for
beautiful countryside.
When I think France, I think Eiffel Tower, funny accent, and french kissing. I don't think that's a fair stereotype at all (except for Eiffel Tower). Thanks for the post.
