 GAMERS

Gamers are a minority because they are a smaller group of people that truely qualify as part of the catagory. They are oftern picked on and make fun of by others. Some try to have pride in the fact that they play games, which is becoming more popular. even hot topic a clothing store subscribes to them and provides them clothing that mimics or brags about their love of games. turlte shell backpacks out futs etc. Some call them nerds others know them as the recluse that hides all day in their house and plays on theyre systems.
It funny too how their is even diffrent kinds of gamers out there now. taking allegence under what brand of game they play genre as well as deives. nitendo nerd, x biw ir playstation, mobile or hard core computer. there is even rero gamers.
Comic con has begun to attempt to make this cool hosting events to dress up like your favorite hero and parade around with fellow gamers.

  1. This is a good one. Though I am not quite a full fledged gamer, I have had friends who are gamers, and I can say that they did in fact have unique stories. Many of the gamer stereotypes did not fit them properly.

  2. This is a very interesting one, especially since I have strong opinions about gaming. I feel that it can be a very addicting activity and take away from important human interaction. However, I see that the typical stereotype doesn't actually fit most gamers.

  3. I feel like this post could have tremendously benefited from a discussion of how (male) gamers are also getting a bad rep because of the recent events of #GamerGate wherein now a lot of gamers are getting associated with misogynistic trolls hating on female game developers.
