This design I came up with after looking at some of some of my old California Surf clothes. Something about it just reminds me of back home.
The Gestalt techniques I tried to employ are 1st: Closure. The glasses of the guy himself are not actually drawn, but the mind fills in the gap with the empty space.
2nd: Figure/Ground: I tried to use the spiky hair and the bottom part of the M to accomplish this. The surrounding area of the hair is the 'M' and vice versa. I also tried to use this same technique with the Glasses, the nose hole and the letter B. It's actually supposed to be M.C.B. Surf, but I'm not sure how distinct that is.
