Balance: The tree separates the two cars, both of which are hatchbacks. The two cars balance each other out with the tree acting as the fulcrum. 

Point of View: It's not too often that I get to view a basketball rim from the top. Also..I found the shot to be more interesting by taking it from the side, instead of directly behind.

Subject/Background: The subject of the picture is the mallard decoy floating close in the water.  The other decoy causes your eyes to shift from the bottom left of the picture to the mid right, then finally to the mountain in the background.
