Photography Composition

Balance: This picture shows more of an asymmetrical balance. The two trees on the outside somewhat balance each other out, but then there is a third tree that leans a little bit closer to the left than to the middle. It is almost symmetrical, but even without the symmetry you still feel a balance with the three trees in the front and then the random assortment of trees behind them.

Point of View: Last weekend I visited Kansas City and I took this picture of the temple while I was there. The point of view is supposed to be a child's perspective of the temple. We grew up singing the song "I Love to See the Temple" and this shot captures what the temple looks to you at that age. You have to tilt your head up to see it because you are so small and it is so big, but it shows how grand the temple is and how it seems to reach into the heavens.
Subject: The subject of this picture is my sister holding onto a tree so she does not fall into the creek. She becomes the subject of this picture by being in the center. Your eyes are drawn directly towards her because this is not something you'd see in nature everyday. It's out of place but you focus on her because of her white jacket, the plainness of the rest of the picture, and her location.
