BALANCE: There is balance in the photo because there are two shelves. One is balanced by the other. If there were only one shelf in the image it would feel strange—as if something were lacking. Balance doesn't always have to be so obvious, but two objects of similar weight in corresponding thirds of the photo will achieve balance.
SUBJECT/BACKGROUND: "Clif bar ad" The Clif Bar is close and in the leaves, with the mountains behind. I suppose I could've taken a better shot now looking at it because the mountain really commands a lot of attention and I'm worried that people will see that before the Clif Bar. The bar also seems to blend in to the ground now. What do you think?
POINT OF VIEW: Going down the stairs. This is the view that everyone that goes into the JFSB can relate to. Just looking down into this concrete valley with glass doors at the bottom.
