For this picture I had my girlfriend come closer to the camera because I wanted to be able to establish her as the subject of the camera. I also adjusted the picture with the lighting so that the unnecessary parts on the sides were not able to be seen as much and it brought her out even more as what the picture is about.
This picture is about the point of view. I was looking at this small tree and noticed that if one were to look at it from lower it compares in size to these larger trees behind it, even though the tree with leaves only stand at about 7 or 8 feet, and the trees behind are all well over 20 feet. I also like the contrast between how this smaller tree still has all of its leaves, and the large trees lost theirs very quickly.
This picture is a little bit grainy, but I like how that allows all of the different colors that are coming through in the sunset. This picture is meant to show how the balance works between the sun and the moon, since the sunlight is so low, the moon needed to be higher up. I also like how the darkness is being balanced out by all of the lights in the cities. (this was taken up at squaw peak)
