I got this idea by flipping something on its head. Trogdor always burninated the peasants, so why not make the peasants win for once? I used color at the end to show that "Rodgort, the Trogdorinator" triumphed.

RODGORT THE TROGDORINATOR
I got this idea by flipping something on its head. Trogdor always burninated the peasants, so why not make the peasants win for once? I used color at the end to show that "Rodgort, the Trogdorinator" triumphed.

Apparently We're All Obsessed With Cops Now
Cops are being questioned daily in the news as a threat instead of the people that risk their lives every day to protect the people of this nation. They’re portrayed as brutal and not thinking about what they’re doing. They shoot at will, whether the citizens they’re interacting with are real threats or not. While this narrative may have some truth, overall it’s not in the public's best interest to give this story to all cops.
By automatically assuming that all cops are a threat to our safety they will begin to do the same to us as citizens. They will start to be more fearful of what they have to do every day, and that pressure can put them on edge. Since they’re not entirely comfortable and confident in their position that is when mistakes can happen. They are just regular people too who make a mistake just like anyone else. They have to make split-second decisions involving deadly force, and sometimes they’re wrong, and it’s tragic, but that isn’t a reason to attack all police officers.
I don’t think that it’s fair to attack police officers via the media. They sacrifice so much to ensure that we can all live safe lives, and if we start to destroy that, I’m scared for what the world could become. Some people want to get rid of police officers, and that is not a smart idea. If anything just has a strict screening process or give them more training so that in the heat of a moment they can make more intelligent decisions, but if we get rid of our everyday heroes we won’t have any heroes left to protect us.

Yum!
I made this GIF in honor of valentines day and all the single ladies out there who spent it eating semi-disgusting heart shaped cookies by themselves. The end.
Gif - Anderson
I am a huge Wes Anderson fan so I wanted to do a gif with some of the characters from his movies. At first I was going to just have the images appear, but it is way better and more interesting with movement. I also wanted to do a perfect loop so you can't tell where the start or end is, I think this does a pretty good job of that.
The color is very simple which makes it perfect for gif format and the palettes from Wes' movies always seem to go together nicely.

Color sequence
I like color-catching gifs, so I wanted to do something simple that has a lot of colors in it. Each circle has the next frame of color that will be. It kind of reminds me of a sunrise and sunset all wrapped up into one.
Chicken's Bizarre Adventure
This is the GIF I made. The characters are an expression for "menacing" in Japanese. I got a PNG of the characters online and then got a picture of my bird Chicken and made the GIF on GIFmaker. Without context, it looks like he might be singing or thinking, but he's really just an intimidating bird.
Anti-gravity ice cream GIF
While trying to come up with an idea, I wanted my gif to tell a story. I decided to combine two of my favorite things: ice cream and space. I used 11 different frames to make the image. I also wanted to experiment with perception by having the astronaut fly across the screen and have the ice cream fly toward the audience.
Good Morning Gif
Good morning, good afternoon, and good night.
I loved playing around with the colors on this to give sort of a cartoony-retro feel.
Pear Confetti
I was scrolling through my Instagram and saw this pattern on a cutting board and thought... It'd be cool to interchange the colors of that to make a gif. Inspiration comes from anywhere!
GIF - Reproducing Bill
I love Bill Murray. To me, he has always been somewhat of a magical being. This is made of 9 images that, when put together in this form, really symbolizes the kind of man he is. Also, I wanted to see a dove explode.
GIF Coke=happiness
I really enjoy coke and so I wanted to upload a gif with coke. I took each of these images and had my wife drink coke as fast as she could. She drank it way too fast and I thought it was so funny. She spilled coke everywhere. I took 8 images, edited them, and compiled them in the order that I wanted. I put them on a continuous rotation to make the gif. I really enjoyed making the gif and I am glad that I know how to do it now. I am excited to learn how to keep making gifs.
GIF Assignment
For this GIF I used two pictures of my dog. It is creative because it shows him from two different perspectives.
Fly Me To The Moon
When I was creating this GIF, just one of the many that I made/experimented with, I thought about the motion I wanted to create. Once I settled on the compositional aspects that I wanted, I calculated the order of the frames in order to give the plane the movement it needed--a process that was more time consuming than I had anticipated. I edited these pictures that I took to create a color that made the type more effective. Although a commercial airline obviously cannot take you to the moon, I wanted to create a GIF that conveyed the idea that in order to get to our destination or goal we first have to let go and lift ourselves off of the ground.

The Bird. The Barn. And the Bell.
The Bird, the Barn, and the Bell
I took this photo of an old, rustic barn during my President's day adventure at Arches National Park. While exploring the beautiful scenery and landscapres, I found myself constantly looking at the beautiful birds that inhabit the area -- thus serving as my inspiration for this gif.
GIF - Sashimi Rollin'
Having spent this weekend with my cute Japanese sobo (or obaachan - "grandma"), I've got Japan and the motherland on my mind. Let's be honest, who doesn't love sushi?

Kitten - "I didn't do it! I swear!"
"I didn't do it! I swear!"
Found this cute kitty and couldn't resist making him into a gif. Lots of lassoing, free transforming, and creating new layers via copy going on here.
Clark GIF
This is my roommate Clark. We have a running joke in our apartment and ward that Clark can pretty much do anything. It may be a little weird that I made this GIF, but I'm sure it'll be put to use in the future by many people.
GIF-Queen Bey
I have never made a gif before, but I love using them in my communication with friends and family, so this was super cool to realize I could do this! I love Beyonce and I thought she would be a perfect subject for this assignment.

Yoncé - Gif Assignment
This gif was inspired by a surprise music video that was dropped by the Queen Bey herself just 24 hours prior to her halftime performance at Superbowl 50. The beginning of this gif uses a scene in her new music video, Formation. The second half of this gif
is pulled from ABC's The Bachelor. Olivia Caridi, the Texan newscaster, is known for her colossal (bachelor-record-breaking) mouth. With the announcement of Beyoncé's 2016 Formation World Tour, these two video clips together produced a accurate portrayal of young women world-wide.

GIF - Cuckoo Clock (cat version)
Here is my GIF!
Also......
My wife and I have decided that this could be used as a torture device. With this song in the background https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbyZDq76T74
Just imagine it for 10 hours........ in a padded white room.
GIF - Valentines
In honor of Valentine's Day, I wanted to make a GIF that was in the colors of love. I chose multiple colors from red, pink, white, and purple. I wanted the GIF to express that everyone will receive love on this holiday.

Gestalt Theory- Texas
The two theories I used were closure and proximity. Although the dots are simple part of the background, the mind closes the space left and sees the state of Texas. In the same way it uses proximity because all the dots are perceived as one large unit that makes up the back of the image, rather than each individual dot. I also used the lack of proximity to make the red dot clearly separate from the rest of the design .
flower
I used the principle of closure & proximity to create a flower out of shapes that aren't touching at all. I'm a newbie at illustrator and all of these programs, but I thought it was interesting how recognizable something can be when it doesn't even touch.
NYC
I played around with a few concepts of the Gestalt principle and on photoshop before settling on this one. By using the rectangle and line feature on photoshop I was hoping to make the closure and proximity elements more dramatic. The closure feature was accomplished by creating blocks of different color in contrast to the original image, letting the eye fill out the rest. Even there the image is missing some information the eye can still see that the image is NYC. I then achieved proximity because from the angle the lines can all be grouped together can be perceived as one unit. Overall, i like the Gestalt principle and with work, I can achieve very cool effects.
