Continuation: The eye moves from one element or object through and/or to another.
Closure: We tend to fill in the blanks of an object (or set of objects) even though some of the information is missing.
For this design, I used those two elements above: continuation and closure. I was able to create the design with help of Illustrator. I typed my name and outlined the text. Then, I drew the lines which width gradually become closer towards the end. The lines make the eye move from the beginning of the letter to the end of the letter. They also have the closure element because we automatically fill in the blanks.

This is a nice use of Gestalt. It really moves your eyes.
