Gestalt - Self Portrait

For my Gestalt image I took a picture of myself that I had taken back in my mustache days and a picture of some trees and over-layed the two. In photoshop I created a layer that would only show the forest image in the shadows and darks of my portrait. This uses the figure/ground theory because you can make out both images. I also exaggerated the whitespace to take out some of the closing lines of my face and arm and added some diagonal white lines to add to the closure effect. For the color I wanted to do a bright green and yellow in areas to make it obvious that it was a group of trees.
