(self portrait) I don't consider myself to be a great photographer, but I feel that over the years I have developed my own style and approach to much of the pictures I take. After we discussed the rule of threes, I considered embracing those perceived obnoxious intersecting lines of three and subscribe to the rule, for the sake of the assignment. Using this urban underground environment, I was able to capture a motorcycle, which has defined my for the last several years and has become a large part of my life. In the background, the lighting, in a unique window arrangement, pours in and grabs the eye, though it's not the subject.
The symmetry of this photo intrigued me For one, it's a bunch of buildings and most people walk by or through them and more than like don't notice the shape they make. A child would. A child would have no issue lying down in the middle of the courtyard and looking up. Further, you don't know if the plane is actually real or just a model. The "picture frame" cut into the sky by the buildings gives you something else to look at, as though they aren't the subject.
