No More Butts
I used the words, "no more butts" to signify an end to smoking. By having the butt of a cigarette in the image brings out emotion and draws attention to the call to action. I wanted the call of action to be no more cigarette butts, no more smoking. The words fill out the rest of the cigarette like smoke, completing the image. I used photoshop to create the words and the Adobe kuler for the color scheme of the background from similar photos that I found.
In the typography, I gave it a serious bold look to emphasize how important this issue was. By not giving the typography a silly or fancy look I drew attention to the seriousness of the situation. With the color scheme Adobe kuler, I chose the font color and chose a light brown to compliment the background and to draw attention to the cigarette butt. The typography is sharp and serious.

This is an awesome one-off for a no smoking campaign.
ReplyDeleteI like the brown copy with the black background-the placement of the copy feels off. Might be better if the butt were more up and put the copy higher or lower
