Analysis:
The bull stands in the middle of Wall Street as if it is the
soul of the area rising from the cobble stones. Wall Street is known for its
aggressive, fast paced and cut throat business environment. A bull, especially
in the middle of an angry charge, can be a deadly force. This is meant to show Wall
Street as a dangerous place full of powerful forces that should not be trifled
with. It also portrays the U.S. economy as powerful and strong since it is very much connected to the performance of Wall Street. The animal is
obviously a male, and the activities of Wall Street have traditionally been
attributed to males and their stereotypical aggressive and dominating nature.
The bull also seems to be in the middle of changing directions to face something else. This demonstrates the flexibility and chaos of the market place and
how things can change in an instant. It also may be a demonstration that the
bull, Wall Street, can take on any opponent from any direction because of its
ability to shift and move swiftly.
