Semiotics #2

In this image:  Baby, Dog, Dog Cone,  Appears to look like curtains and a door in the background.

There is nothing special about a baby and a dog.  However, looking at this picture there is much that can be seen other than a baby and a dog.  First off, lets look at each part of the picture seperately.

Baby:  Babies are innocent, and need help with 100% of their lives.  Instantly looking at the picture the baby gives the picture a peaceful feeling.

Dog:  This type of dog is often thought of a nice dogs.  Very rarely do they bite, or hurt anyone.  They are often thought of as family dogs.  Since the dog has a cone on, I am immediately curious as to what kind of injury happened to the dog that caused him to have to wear a cone.

Curtains and door:  The curtains and door in the background give the impression that this picture was taken at home.

After looking at each part separately I am left with the impression that the dog has played a huge role in the families life.  My guess is that the dog is loved just like a family member.  It is possible that the dog is in the picture as a hero for protecting a family member, possibly the baby.
