Continuity and Closure

I got hung up on the effect of rotating lights around movie posters, and got to wondering if colors could give the same illusion of movement.

I made this one to replicate the lights around movie posters.

I did not make this piece, but i like how the shapes and colors seem to swell.

These two images illustrate Gestalt's principles of continuity and closure. I particularly enjoy how the colors give these pieces a sense of movement.
