Gestaltism

I found this image on a wall outside of a lab here on campus. It applies the gestalt principle of proximity with the little noise symbol. We perceive that all of those curved lines represent sound. It also applies closure because there the units are considered to be one whole together. we know that the magnet ends because of the lines beneath it. We perceive that this image is closed because of both ends.
Here is an image I made using gestalt principles. The audience sees the closure principle at work because of the star within the star. It makes it seem as if the inner star is a part of the other star. It also utilized proximity because we think that the boxes on the side are together because they are going in a similar direction. It is also continuation because we recognize the similarities of the figures and perceive them as belonging together.
