Gesstalt Theories....They are EVERYWHERE!

1. Gestalt Theories I noticed

This weekend was interesting. I had to fly home Monday night. It all happened so quickly. However, as I was in the Denver airport waiting for a layover to Dallas, TX. I found several World Wildlife Foundation Signs. It stood out to me that the logo of the Panda, while I had seen it dozens of times, I realized now it contained one of the Gestalt Principles. This has the principle of closure, as the panda's face and back never really close, but our eyes form a line to fill the space.

2. My Design Using Gestalt Theories

I used the theories of continuation and similarity in my design.  The theory of proximity is used because the textiles are grouped together, and also the different patterns close together differentiate each textile from the other.  Continuation is involved within the roll of twine. The eye follows the twine and then finally leads to the textiles.
