Color and Gestalt

For this poster, I used tones from an analogous color scheme for both the text and scattered polka dots. The colors are bright and vibrant looking, portraying an excitement and happiness in the message on the poster.

The gestalt principles in this photo are continuation, closure, and similarity. There is continuation in the position and size of the pumpkins which draw your eye from the smallest in the top left corner, down to the largest in the bottom right corner. There is also closure because although the pumpkins have open spaces, you brain automatically fills the space to see a pumpkin. Lastly, because all of the pumpkins are the same object and color, it shows similarity.
