The Only One I See
I created this image in InDesign.
Principles Used:
1) Continuation-Only slightly, "The only" falls down a little on top of "I see." This helps create intimate unity between the parts.
2) Similarity-The "I" is colored differently to show it's uniqueness. It is special.
3) Closure-Obviously, the lines create missing areas which you see and must fill in with your mind. I think it shows that despite the distractions, you still see what the true meaning is, like a lover sees his true love, despite any distractions.
4) Proximity- "One" is separate from the rest of the text, thus emphasizing its solidarity.
