This is simply a picture of a piece of twine that is tied in a bow around a finger. It could be something that is passed over very easily without every thinking twice about it, but here i believe that it holds deeper meaning.
Connotations: The ring here is representing deep feelings and a promise. A bow is used to tie something up, also at times to wrap something that is special. it is used here to represent something special to this person and the promise made to them. It is much more than a mere piece of twine, much more.
