The above image is of the Coliseum in Los Angeles, California. This is where the USC Trojans play football. This particular image shows the retired jerseys of former USC players.
At first glance, someone who knows a bit about sports will know that these are jersey numbers that can no longer be used at the university. But each jersey means much more than that.
Each jersey represents a player who had a large impact on their respective teams. They broke records, helped win games, and some even won national championships. Out of respect for what they did at the school, their jerseys are now a permanent part of the Coliseum and are displayed each game as a reminder of the greats that have played at the same school.
The jerseys can be used as inspiration to continue a tradition of success. In fact, I don't know of another stadium that sets aside so much space for retired jerseys. These jerseys are definitely a sight to behold.
