1. Like all you fellow classmates have pointed out the signifier here denotes a giant bull statue. It is very large, creating a unique visual perspective for us humans who are usually on the bigger end of the visual side. It is bronze and in a charging, aggressive stance.
2. What it signifies is a lot of power, aggression, a feeling of dominance. It is very imposing and shows the stock market industry as the aggressor, the one holding the power. think it is interesting how it is considered lucky to rub the crotch of the statue. That too signifies power and manliness as if that is the source of the power. However, I think that can also bring about a feeling of cockiness, rude entitlement, and selfishness. When I saw this statue I reminded of this scene from the movie Hitch. This businessmen who is a complete selfish jerk, uses girls for his gain and advantage gets a knee to the crotch and he falls over with his head in the butt of the bull. I think this was an interesting use of the statue to show the perhaps shallow and vain meanings behind the industry and upper business men associated with the bull.
3.The bulls immense size. Placement. Aggressive stance. Use as a symbol. Its large crotch. Color. Butt in the air. Defined muscles. Imposing scale, etc.
