The signifier is the large, metallic sculpture of a bull. The signified is the idea of strength, speed, aggression, and power to name of few things. The bull was put in front of the new york stock exchange by the artist. It sits on wall street in the financial district of the city and shows the power and strength that the financial district has on the state of affairs of everyone. The fact that the bull is so strong and bulky gives off an impression of the strength and size and importance of what happens there. It’s big enough to support the weight and importance of the all the financial business that happens.
