This art work is by the graffiti artist Banksy on the West Bank Wall which separates West Bank and Israel. This is one of nine piece that he did in that area. This particular one shows a little girl holding onto a bunch of balloons as they float up the wall. There is a lot of debate as too what this means.
The image in my mind could mean a lot of things. The wall was constructed to stop a lot of violence between the two neighboring countries because of the large religious feud that was happening when this art when up. The use of a child is huge because it references the innocence of the people. This represents the inability of people to leave the country even if they havent had any part in the conflict. They are in a sense trapped somewhere where nothing they can do can change it.
