When looking through photos, those that always catch my eye and keep my attention are those that show nature at its finest while also being familiar to me. This photo caught my eye a couple years back due to the amazing nature of the lightning in my own backyard. I love Seattle weather, especially when it gets crazy. I cannot help but trace with my eyes the movement of the lightning as it strikes across the sky. I get lost in the texture of the clouds, so many individual movements in themselves to make one large whole. In the center stands the Space Needle, tall and proud, and seen behind it an interesting scribble-like movement of the lightning that cannot be totally made out. Even the lights of the city add to my intrigue as the many different colors stand out among the lightning strikes above them. This is the home I love, beautiful whether the sun is shining or the storm is raging.
