Driving Through Downtown

My office sites right on Center street and University in downtown Provo. For that reason, I walk the streets of downtown Provo every day. For my assignment, I decided to gain a new perspective of downtown Provo. While I walk the streets of downtown Provo everyday, I don't very often drive through the streets. So for my assignment that is what I did.

While I drove around town I noticed something interesting. Around each corner there is a different aspect of Provo that you may not have noticed.
I loved this picture because I think it shows the working side of Provo, mixed with the young spirit that is here. This parking garage is where I park my car, along with many others, to go to work each day. It's constantly packed with people trying to find a spot and get to the office. I love that there is also a scooter in this picture. It's no secret that Provo is full of young college students, many of which drive scooters like this one. So I love that this picture mixes those two aspects of Provo.
Guru's is a popular spot in downtown Provo, but welcome to their secret back entrance. Well at least I like to think it's secret, so if you already know about it then just let me pretend. I love this though, because it faces the back alley way. I love that this restaurant put so much effort to decorate a part of their building no one sees. It is so true to who they are as a company as well.
This is another picture from the back alley way This looks up the back entrance to an office building. Provo is becoming such a great economical place to start a business, and we are seeing this in the many office buildings downtown and throughout Utah County. I love how industrial this makes downtown Provo feel, especially with that 'For Rent' sign in the window.
Okay granted this is not the best picture, I know, but it was semi intentional. I love how even though it's blurry you can see the dynamic of downtown. The difference in just two buildings right next to each other. I think this is a great representation of Provo as a whole, and especially downtown.
Here's another photo that I feel demonstrates the diversity of downtown. This wall is pretty infamous, but I love the angle of this photo and how you can see this mural on the wall, a hookah store on the corner, and a normal office building behind them both. Three very different parts of life, all meeting together in one photo.

My experience downtown helped me to see how representative downtown Provo is of Provo as a whole. There is a new experience waiting around each corner.
