I love this photo because old, abandoned spaces intrigue me. This photo in particular catches my attention because of the composition. I love that the piano is the focus, but that it is off center. There is a sense of deep space behind the photo, without the background overwhelming the focal point. This picture is not only visually interesting, but also begs the viewer to take a deeper look. It requires a closer inspection to see all the details in the crumbling walls and debris scattered across the floor. It inspires thought - Why has this building been abandoned? Why was the piano left behind? Why was it left to crumble instead of being torn down? This photo also uses the natural lighting falling across the piano to direct the eye without being overly obvious. I think this photo perfectly ties in composition and intrigue to create a truly thought provoking picture.
