I rode the Frontrunner train from Salt Lake to Provo and asked every person on the train a question: "What are you passionate about?" Answers varied from family to digital communication, running up mountains, floral design, music, and medical school. Then we talked. Some conversations were brief and in broken English, but at least two lasted for half an hour. The train broke down for an hour and a half and gave me time to really dive into their passion.
Then I asked them to "draw something that represents this passion". Using my array of crayons, markers, and colored pencils, they did.
So here's a look at passion in Utah. What drives athletes at the U, homeless men, architecture professors, Americans, Brazilians, Taiwanese, and Koreans on the Frontrunner to Provo.
