I was going for an ancient oriental look. I chose "Bradley Hand" font and started to play with it. I started by lengthening the x-height to look more like long, fluid pen strokes and then took each letter of "higher" a little higher off the baseline than the letter before it. I also Used a gradient on the word higher to 1. give it a sense of rising up into the clouds and 2. to play into some gestalt theory by leading the viewers eye to the bird.
