Breakdance

One of my friends loves breakdance so I decided to do some research on it and take some pictures. Breakdance started by black people and people with Puerto Rican roots in New York City in 1970s. At first it was seen as bad so people had to do it underground, but then it spread around the world and became very popular among people from all backgrounds.

At BYU, there is a breakdance club that meets every Tuesday from 20h 30min until 22h in the Wilkinson Center. I went there to see how it was and I took some pictures.

They have people who are more advanced and some who are starting. Those who are more advanced teach some steps to others.
I found it interesting the night I went there there were only men breakdancing. I think it is more popular amongs men.
Another interesting factor is that they are all friends and they have fun while breakdancing. Also, it helps strengthening the muscles.
