Who is watching?

Anyone familiar with Netflix has become quite accustomed to this question popping up every time you enter the site now. I used this as the title to my post because I decided to focus my photos on movies and how they are now a part of everyday life. They are all around us, and they are an integral part of how we find entertainment. I decided to document everyone I could find as they watched movies, and these are my favorite shots.

In this shot I wanted to use the rule of thirds to place my sister's face on the left third and the monitor on the right third. It was an interesting shot more because it was candid than for the composition.

Here is another shot of a few of my siblings watching a movie over the weekend. I thought it was funny that not one of them was talking as they all sat within two feet of each other.

I liked this shot because of the composition. I decided to use an over the shoulder shot to capture the screen and a narrow depth of field to blur the background a bit (It's hard to tell here with it being shrunk).

This was another fun shot for me. I wanted to capture the idea that the movies were literally limitless and the diagonal lines help to give a sense of unease or instability to the whole thing.

This was a cool shot that I happened upon entering a theater. I liked the strong lines that the rows presented and I wanted to show the activities that happen as people are waiting for their movie to begin.
