Lavell Edwards Stadium

- Chad Burton

Raise your sights - Picturesque Lavell Edwards Stadium seems to raise right to the sky.

Go Cougars - Grass paint around the stadium adds flavor and spirit to the game-day atmosphere.

Enter in - Set on the backdrop of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, the entrance to the seating area feels like entering an arena of power.

It all goes down here - A tarp covers the field where the games are played.

Meet me at the Cougar - Perhaps the most frequently photographed statue around the stadium, the cougar was placed there to represent the stadium when it was called "Cougar Stadium."

Take a walk - The location of the popular "Cougar Walk," this walkway is ideal for touring around with loved ones hours before the game begins.
I chose to take pictures at Lavell Edwards Stadium. Personally, I have many fond memories there; both as a young kid and as a student. As a child, my family would take the four-hour journey almost weekly to watch every fall home game. As a student, I have worked at the stadium ticket office, screamed my face blue, and even spent nights camping out preparing for the game.

For me, the stadium itself is somewhat nostalgic. The message I wanted to portray by these pictures is that it's not only beautiful and pictureque, but that it can be somewhat homey. I wanted people to see the beauty and be motivated to spend time like I have. So the message, in short, is spend time at this beautiful, homey stadium.
