I originally was going to take pictures at a bridal shower, but the lighting was terrible and my camera died half way through. When I was contemplating what to take pictures of, I remembered this really cool article from the New York Times that I read a few months back. Since reading this I have been fascinated with the simple every day act of commuting. Here in Provo, and especially at BYU, commuting can be as simple as walking to class, or riding your bike to work. I love that commuting is so simple here, and in this project I decided to try to take photographs of people as they walked to class. I really wanted to capture the emotions and the mannerism that people have while walking. It was a lot harder than I expected because it can be hard to take pictures of a moving target, and when people realized I was taking pictures they didn't appreciate it too much. Here are a few of my favorite shots.
