I think a lot of people don't appreciate Provo for what it is, or what they can make it. The more time I spend here the more proud I am to call this town home. I know a lot of people that disparage Provo and will do anything they can to get out of here as quickly as possible, but these people cant expect Provo to shape them and help them grow if they aren't playing their part. As I was walking down the streets, I was overwhelmed by the things I have never noticed before. In the four years I have lived here I have probably driven those streets a few hundred times and instead of looking what I was passing (which actually might have been dangerous), I was so focused on getting to my destination. It also made me feel like you can't run out of things to do in Provo. Just walking around a few streets and alley ways inspired me to think outside of the box on activities during my free time, and a few new restaurants I wanted to try. I didn't walk too far, but I almost didn't need to to be exposed to so much for my perspective to change. This activity really forced me to pay attention to detail, and it made me wonder about the history of Provo, and the different kind of things that have been in the buildings we walked around. It also made me kind of sad that my time in Provo has gone so quickly and that I still have so much to experience before my life takes me somewhere else. Overall, I really enjoyed this activity on perception and it has inspired me to make the most of Provo and try to experience everything it has to offer.
Sweet finds.
