So I decided to walk around my neighborhood and try to find art in a natural/unnatural setting. The first thing that I came across that I found interest was the parking lot. There are a lot cracks and holes that form for some reason or the other. The apartment tenants have tried to fill these imperfections with tar, over and over. Now what is left is seemingly random design of tar all of the parking lot. I like the randomness of it, some may say that there is a pattern or not. It was pretty cool and how the design stretched through the parking lot was fun to follow.
I then walked in an alley and noticed an electric box reader that was damaged or replaced. I really like seeing the inside of the box and seeing all the cables and wires hanging out as if somebody just teared it out of its box. Overall this was an interesting way to look for art in around us and try to see things from a different perspective.
I really like that you thought of stories behind each of your photos. As there are reasons for the way everything gets there. Pretty cool idea.
ReplyDeleteRight on. I like this. There is a cool photography exhibit in the basement of the MOA right now that is reminiscent of these kinds of observations.
