I was nervous at first about this assignment but by the end of it enjoyed the process that I had gone through in order to take the pictures that you are now viewing. All five of my pictures are at the same location; Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Colorado. My topic that I chose was light and how it changes as the day goes on. How it can go from being so bright and sunny to a somber dark blue all in the matter of a couple of hours. My favorite is the last one because of the halo created by the light around the rock, giving it an almost other worldly look.
The pictures show a story from day to night, from an vast open expanse to a single shot of a giant rock formation made small somehow by the dark of night. I would hope with these photos that someone would be able to get a feel for what it would be like to be there and to experience this change from day to night, from light to dark and from open to closed.
