Wintertime

This morning I walked outside to see snow, and I got that excited feeling anticipating the approach of winter and all of its fun holidays. I typically don't like snow because it makes the roads dicey, it sticks to everything, and--most of all--it's cold! But this the snow this morning was so pretty and light that I decided to use it as the subject of this assignment. Here are some of the photos I captured just as the sun came up and threatened to take the snow away:

Something I noticed as I completed this assignment is that snow makes even the dullest objects like old cars, patches of dirt, and dying plants look beautiful. I chose these particular pictures because I felt like there was a good amount of contrast between the snow and the item(s) it was covering. It made these items look pretty and delicate, even though they are typically not perceived that way.
