Call to Action: C-R-E-A-T-E

My call to action is to create. This theme is shown through the images of creativity that I compiled together to show the various outlets of creation. My message is to create regardless of what capacity. We should utilize the hands we have been given and use them to create something meaningful.

For my multidimensional color scheme I used Adobe Photoshop to find different tints, shades, and tones that were harmonious. Through using the color wheel I was able to get certain shades of black, white, and grey that were completely unique for each hue. I added a splash of contrast with the maroon that I found in the red hue. My color scheme reflects the theme in my call to action as it shows that in order to create something wonderful sometimes we have to get our hands dirty- or in the case of the letters, a little speckled.

In the typography I gave the most weight to the first and last letters to create a balance between the four images. The direction of the type leads to the right, almost as if it is going to get sucked into the spinning pottery wheel. I manipulated the structure to give the type a sense of movement--after all it is promoting an action. The size of the type and the spacing between the letters help indicate the message that creation can come from anywhere not just one specified action.
