A Night of FHE

For my post, I decided to do it on an event that happens weekly, something that could seem completely normal and I wanted to see what stood out and what I could find. First off, I wish I would've had a better camera for this assignment, but there were a few things I tried to do. I really tried to get photos when people weren't paying attention. I wanted them to be as natural as possible. I didn't succeed 100%, but that was my goal. I wanted to take the photos as if I were a fly on the wall looking over people's shoulders or in the air. I wanted to see what I could catch when I did it that way. The two photos I was most proud of composition wise was the 2nd and 3rd photo. The 2nd photo, I was standing on a bench and wanted to see a shot taken of the group from up high and see if there was a different perspective. I was pleased with how it turned out. The 3rd photo was my favorite because I tried to use the rule of thirds and not put them directly in the center of the picture, but I focused on them over on the right third of the photo, leaving the left side open. That was pretty cool. I also like in the 5th photo, I feel like the center of the photo is the group of girls not in our group standing up, but I feel like your eyes go counter-clockwise to the people sitting at the table to their left, down to the girl at the table and over to the couple on the right. The images are somewhat compelling, but I could still probably have gotten some even better shots. The story being told here is the story of college students spending a typical Monday night together, playing games, eating treats and enjoying a break from the busy and stressful college life. As evidenced by the lower two pictures, there are many young single adults getting frozen yogurt and taking a break on Monday nights.
