The Melting Pot

My experience with Center street has always been a frustrating one. Honestly, I have spent a lot of time trying to avoid the street because of the 15 mph speed limit and the heavy traffic. Also, somehow Center seems to attract the worst drivers in the Provo area. However, this time I actually took the time to walk Center and the surrounding streets and I caught a glimpse of how much there is to offer. The biggest difference from walking around compared to driving is seeing the great amount of different cultures that Provo has to offer. Restaurants from every part of the world that offer their hometown environment and delicacies. It is also interesting to see how a predominantly Mormon community offers a scene for all who come to visit with bars, coffee shops and smoke shops. Overall my eyes were opened to a new side of Provo that offers more than just a busy street, but rather a cultural melting pot that can be enjoyed by everyone.
