Provo Temple 2.0

As we all know, Provo will have another temple in just a few short years. After the Provo tabernacle burned down, the Church decided to rebuild it as a second temple for this city. I love looking at the construction site every time I pass it, so I decided to feature the new temple for this blog assignment.

When Elder Holland presided at the groundbreaking ceremony for this temple, he said, "It is inspired to build a temple out of the ashes of the tabernacle." I completely agree with that statement. It's beautiful to think that, even though we lost the Provo tabernacle, we can turn that loss into something even more sacred and wonderful. In a way, that's symbolic of the Atonement because, no matter our starting point, Christ will make us stronger and better if we rely on Him.

Through these pictures, I wanted to emphasize the beauty of the new temple. Luckily for me, the sky was really pretty on the afternoon that I went to the construction site, so that added a lot.

I hope you're all as excited about this new temple as I am!
