Photography/Composition Assignment-Hannah Drees

Subject/Background: For this picture, my friend was standing by the California flag in our living room and I had her step forward a little in front of the flag to create depth. I found a way to focus my camera on her instead of the flag to show that the subject is the girl and not the flag in the background.
Point of View: For this picture I used the perspective of another person. Those are my roommates shoes and I wanted to get a photo of what it looked like if she looked down at her shoes rather than my own perspective. I really like how this turned out because it really looks like it was her that took the picture but it was me. I like how things tell different stories based on the perspective it is seen in.
Balance: Finally for balance I was trying to figure out what I could do and then I saw this in my room and I thought it would be perfect. I just made this collage on my wall of Taylor Swift pictures (I kinda like her if you can't tell) and I really liked how everything balanced out. There is symmetry in how it was configured and it all blends together really well.
