Provo Perception

Perception

In my stroll through Downtown Center Street, I was able to see several insights into Provo culture. The first is chalk-graffiti. Most urban city centers are awash with gang-related scribblings; but true to Provo culture, the only markings to be found will be washed away with the next rainstorm. Nearby murals portray a rich cultural heritage with skill. Another interesting find were Downtown’s scattered abandoned shops that almost seem to haunt its sidewalks. Perhaps even more curious than these were the fully furnished buildings without any outside markings to allude to their purpose. The outer architecture draws in my attention but its skeleton-like insides leave me imagining for what variety of entertainment it was designed.
