Provo Perception #1 - Hannah Nelson
I woke up early to get my normal run through downtown provo in, but this time it was different. I took my earbuds out, searching for new things. I wasn't focused on my breathe, my steps, or my usual pump up music, but I started to notice the beauty of things humans created. There I saw painted murals and actually examined them. Trying to perceive why they decided to do what they did. I found that it gave me desire to create and to try to take my photographs in an interesting way, as they had constructed their art. Any of the things I saw, anyone could find regular, uninteresting, non-dynamic, but once you begin to think where it all began a story unfolds. When I began to discover my senses did too. I wasn't only seeing with my eyes, but with my ears and nose too. I learned that changing perception opens the doors to creativity.
