Semiotics 1

This "charging bull" statue is located on Wall Street in New York City. The statue itself is massive and just looks quite heavy.  The angles are sharp and precise and even in photos, it is clear the material is dense.  With its head lowered, eyes sharp, and nostrils flared, the bull looks intense and strong.

The bull is a symbol of strength, power, and intensity.  It is located on Wall Street, probably the most financially powerful area in the world.  It is home to some of the world's biggest stock exchanges and houses headquarters for several major financial institutions.  It is no coincidence that this statue's home is on a street that's name is associated with power and intensity.  The bull acts as a symbol of all that Wall Street represents.
