Semiotics 2

This seems to be a fairly normal, profitable clothing store; however, even though the sign reads, "open", no one seems to actually be in the store shopping.

The bright studio lighting within the store and the variety of trendy fashions give us the impression that this would be a popular place for individuals to shop. I don't shop for women's clothing but if I did, I'm sure I could find a use for one of their many scarves. So, this leaves us to reason why no one was shopping when this particular picture was taken.

Perhaps, no one was shopping here when this particular pictures was taken because it was very late at night when very few individuals actually shop for clothes. Maybe, this store is not as popular as we are led to believe, there are simply not very many people that do or can shop here because of it's prices/location, etc. Whatever the reason may be, semiotics plays a role in how we look and think of the world we process. Some insights may not be as obvious as others, but they can help us to understand the world nonetheless.
