Creative Assignment

I wasn't able to post my creative assignment when I completed it last weekend, so here is brief synopsis of what I did.

First, I tried walking backwards doing all of my morning activities. Unsuccessful. Second, I attempted to answer to all of my roommates' questions staring my responses with the letter "C". Also unsuccessful. Finally, I drew a picture of Christ with my mouth. Just a sharpie and a piece of construction paper. And no hands. The sharpie jotted and slid all over the paper. After a few horrific attempts, I learned to control the paper instead of the sharpie. I pulled and pushed the paper in various directions and let the sharpie drag itself to find the shapes I wanted.

It was an interesting experience to learn that my limitations did indeed enhance my creativity. The artist Phil Hansen was right! When certain limitations were forced upon me, I was stretched to create another way to achieve my objective.
