Gestalt Principles
I saw this
spectacular experimentation with black and white make-up in the library. If you
look closely it is one girls head. The white side is the girl front facing view
while the black make-up portrays a side profile. This uses the Gestalt principles of figure
ground, while also possibly continuation.

7 You have to look hard but there is a 24 created out of some absent 7’s
to make up 24/7. This represents the Gestalt principle of closure and figure/ground
as our brains can figure out the missing 7’s.
