Tools of Torture

Tools of Torture
Beauty is pain.
The things girls do on a daily basis are ridiculous.  Trying to look beautiful is a process that takes time and effort.  My story is one of the typical college women attempting to get ready for school.
I used the rule of thirds to emphasize specific points of the pictures.  I also faded all the colors slightly to show a haze that is associated with early mornings and to make the "tools" look more sterile.

It always seems like you decide to wear sandals on the day your toenails aren't painted.  It also happens that someone calls to ask for a ride or when you'll finally be ready right as you start painting your toenails.

It seems like there is never enough time to do everything.  Multitasking at it's finest occurs in the morning. (I took this picture from the perspective of the mirror-like she was looking in the mirror.)

Eyelash curler and mascara.  A girls best friend.

It's winter in Utah.  You can't go outside with wet hair.

Once you blow dry your hair, of course you have to straighten it in an attempt to tame the madness.

  3. I can totally relate hah! I think capturing the multi-tasking element of your story makes it more realistic and made for some attention-grabbing pictures.
